Mr. George Kantsios plays a pivotal role in steering the growth, delivery, and client satisfaction of IT programs and services across the Intelligence Community and the Department of Defense. His dynamic blend of business operations, capture management, and technological leadership over 3 decades has been instrumental in providing mission-focused, differentiated strategies and effective execution. Substantial growth in Mr. Kantsios’ business area has stimulated enhancements and upgrades across most of Zolon’s corporate systems.
At Zolon, Mr. Kantsios’ expertise is fundamental in cultivating win/win partnerships and collaboratively driving business growth. His career before Zolon was marked by significant leadership roles. As Vice President of Capture Management and Proposals at NJVC, he concentrated on securing key vehicles and strategic pursuits, honing capture strategy, and pioneering a new ANC 8(a) business.
His tenure at American Systems as Vice President of Capture Management was characterized by his impactful leadership in strategic pursuits, enhancing corporate win probabilities, and amplifying capture expertise and quality through effective team dynamics. His association with BAE Systems as Chief Engineer, where he oversaw the company’s $650 million IT and cybersecurity business, was a testament to his technical and strategic acumen. In this role, he also served as Senior Director of Advanced Programs, spearheading investments in cutting-edge technologies like mobile, cyber, and cloud solutions while also contributing to Merger and Acquisition activities to enhance the company’s offerings.
Mr. Kantsios’ extensive background includes significant positions at MITRE, Hewlett-Packard, Northrop Grumman Corporation, and SAIC, where his senior engineering and leadership skills were consistently showcased. His deep involvement across the full DevOps lifecycle, leveraging CMMI, systems integration, and process improvement methodologies, has established him as a recognized enterprise and systems architecture leader.
Educationally, Mr. Kantsios holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Physics from Radford University, complemented by a Master of Science in Computer Science from Old Dominion University. His educational background has been a strong foundation in his noteworthy career, enabling him to blend theoretical knowledge with practical, industry-leading expertise.
